Tactica Mordi Terrae
Welcome to the tactics page. Wether you are a seasoned
veteren or a youngblood, these hints will come in handy for almost any
occasion. A Brief run down is included in each warband, and soon I will
be taking your suggestions for fighting against or with a certain warband.
Skaven
Skaven are very fast and cunning.
With their high I and M, they can get in and out of combat fast. They will
also usually strike fist. Two handed weapons against or with Skaven can
hinder the enemy quickly. Skaven leaders also have a high Strength coupled
with and extra armor save modifier, which combined means -2 armor! Nasty!
Reiklanders
Reiklanders have marksmen with
the BS of elves, and an equpiment list that even heros can use yet! Any
warband caught straying from cover might find themselves shot down by these
guys, but that is also could be a disadvantage. A warband of all marksmen
will be easily brought down in the HtH phase if not proberly equipted.....
Middenheimers
The old rivals of the Reiklanders
are there exact opposites. With leaders and Champions with the strength
of 4, these guys could pummle you in the HtH phase. It's best to think
about a wizard or elf ranger when going up against these guys. And watch
out for those beards!
Marienburgers
God I hate preppies! And the marienburgers
are the all around spoiled little rich kids. The exta money they have will
undoubtably go into blackpowder weapons and Hired Swords. Their ability
at buying goods will only help strengthen this. I would think they might
have a Hochland long rifle or at least a Handgun with them!
Witch Hunters
The weirdos known as the witch
hunter have several good points about them. Their equipment for heros is
ok, as is the zealot and flagellent lists. However, Flagellents do not
fare good against shooting troops. Spell casters will probably be picked
out by the heros, all in all an o.k warband, but it is limited by size.
Sisters of
Sigmar
The Sisters Of Sigmar are ok also,
their leader has the ability to cast spells and wear armor, a trait only
avalible to them. The equipment list is a bit useless, and their shooting
is poor. The sisters will fair average agianst Mercenaries, but excell
at Undead, Skaven, and Cultists.
Undead
The Undead can cause fear and do
not react to most leadership tests. Vampires strength are also amazing,
so watch it. The magic was dulled down in Mordheim, so you don't have to
worry about 3d6 zombies poping up. However, the Necromancer and dregs are
the only real "Humans" and as such are the weak points. Another thing is
that most of the undead to not gain xp, so the swarms are what you have
to watch for.
The Cult
of the Possessed
The Cult of The Possesed is amazing
at HtH with the possessed, mutants, and beastmen. However, most of this
is costly so they will be swarmed alot. The leader is a wizard and as such
can not wear armor until he gets the warrior wizard skill. Carry holy water
when expecting these guys to take out the Possessed models early.
