Dark Elves in Mordheim

Master assassin Caloth looked intently at the vial that sat at his desk.
Suddenly, the door opened to reveal Lauthi, the young merchant prince.
"So glad to see you my friend," Caloth smiled his creul smile.
"And I much as you," retorted the young elf with a sneer.
"So what is this about? I have other things to attend to.
Caloth pulled a small pouch out of his long cloak and threw it to Lauthi.
Lauthi opened it and looked amazed.
"This is pure gold," he said still shocked.
"Yes. That gold, however was not gold an hour ago," Caloth said.
Lauthi looked at him quizzically, Caloth only chuckled.
"That was iron, it was turned into gold by means of a special catalyst. The procedure can be done over and over."
"So why tell me of this?"
"I have no need of money," Caloth said, "I will however show you where we got it."
"So what do you get out of this?"
Caloth took the small vial.
"This is the run off."
He sprinkled it over his blade and reached for a rat scurrying about his desk.
He had barely touched it when it fell over, dead.
Caloth offered the rat to Lauthi.
Lauthi could see no cut, the rat had died on contact.
"I've also found that this poison does not effect us," Caloth said as he prodded the blade to his skin.
"Very well, you have my fastest ship at your aide."
"And you have my apprentice assassins and their families."
"Very well, we set sail tomorrow, out of curiosity, what is the catalyst?"
Caloth smiled evilly "Wyrdstone."

    Hired Swords:
This is a list of hired swords that may or may not be hired by Dark Elf Warbands. Racial disputes or other matters are just
too much for the mercenaries. Even for a hefty amount of gold.
Pit Fighters: May be hired, even though Dark Elves will most likely leave him for dead.
Ogre Bodygaurds: May not be hired, the stench is far too great for the Elves' sensitive noses.
Halfling Scout: May be hired only if the warband can roll over the Halfling's Ld on 2d6. This represents the Dark Elves
conning the guilible Halfling into  thinking they are Wood Elves or something of the same nature.
Warlock: May be hired. ANYTHING to get away from the Witch Hunters!
Freelancer: May not be hired. Dark Elves still think the Cold One Knights are the strongest knights ever!
Elf Ranger: May be hired, but the Dark Elf Warbands must pay for one of their own kind at +10GC and +5GC upkeep.
Troll Slayer: May not be hired. Who needs a drunk, red haired dwarf anyways?

    Dramatis Personae Rules:
Being Dark Elves means that they can only hire certain Special Characters. The Dramatis Personae are listed here to give a
    sense of completeness.
Aenur, the Sword of Twilight: Even the Dark Elves do not know the background of Aenur and since they are not working
for the Shadowlord, Dark Elves may hire Aenur.

Bertha Bestraufrung: Dark Elves could care less about human gods. Sigmar especially. Bertha maynot be hired by Dark Elf
    Warbands.

Johann the Knife: Although it pains them to, Dark Elves may hire Johann the Knife only at the cost of two vials of Crimson
    Shade.

Veskit, High Executioner of Clan Eshin: Unlike humans, Skaven have been allied with Dark Elves. However, the importance
of the wyrdstone to the clan and the thought that word might get out, all Skaven peacefully refuse offers by Dark Elves.
Veskit cannot be hired by Dark Elf Warbands.

Shadowfox and Khaela .................... 100 GC to hire, 20 GC upkeep.
The brother-sister team of Shadowfox and Khaela is enough to strike fear and terror into any warbands hearts. The
great assassin and his Witch Elf sister have long since been exiled from Naggroth for some unknown deed. Even so,
proving their worth in the City of the Damned might just get them a ship back to their home and a full pardon.

Shadowfox and Khaela always fight together and are hired together. If one is killed, the other may not fight on. Such is their
loss of their only family they will commit suicide rather than live without the other.

Armor/Weapons: Shadowfox wears and Elven Cloak and carrys two crossbow pistols and dagger.
Khaela wears light armor and is armed with two swords and a rwo handed sword. You may choose which she uses in HtH.

Frenzy: Khaela is subject to frezy only in HtH combat. She may not charge while frenzied, as this would bring her away from
her brother. Note: while frenzied, Khaela may not use the Kiss of Death.

Fight Back to Back: Shadowfox and Khaela must stay within 2" of each other.

Skills:Shadowfox has the Pistolier skill in addition he has his own Assassin Skill. Khaela has the Expert Swordsman skill in
addition to her own special Kiss of Death Skill.

Assassin Skill: Shadowfox has been keenly trained as an assassin and has a -1 armor modifier on all his missle attacks. (This
also includes his dagger, but only cancels out the weapons +1 armor modifier.)

Kiss of Death: Khaela wears a poisonous substance on her lips she and Shadowfox have a natural immunity to. Khaela
may use the Kiss of Death in HtH, kissing one enemy instead of attacking. The posion will automatically hit, and no armor
saves apply. The enemy must roll below his Toughness on a D6 to avoid taking one wound. Khaela has enough poison for
    exatcly two kisses per battle.
